Shellshock live crazy games12/29/2023 ![]() Have typical death matches, point matches, and can even have simultaneous firing. You also have more options in terms of matches. Other new and improved features in Shellshock Live 2 is the inclusion of flying powerups which you can shoot to get their contents. Weapons can also be upgraded the more you use them, if you actually do damage with them. You do still have the typical level up to get better weapons but now each time you level up you can upgrade your tank's skills like in a typical tower defense flash game or something so you can increase armor, fuel, etc. And it is good to play and keep playing as leveling up is back in Shellshock Live 2 in a new way. You really just need to play to see for yourself. You have classics like grenades, air strikes and bounce shots but you also get new and crazy ones like pinata, shuriken, firework, etc. There are tons of weapons, over 100 supposedly according to the developer and each is unique. So first I'll talk about some of the new weapons and features with that. Each weapon does something totally different and I am happy to say that in Shellshock Live 2 the weapons are even better! You then adjust your angle and power of your shot to try and hit your opponents, note though that the ground changes with your shots and changes quite rapidly. You are a tank which has all sorts of crazy weapons you can shoot at your enemies which you get a random selection of at the beginning of a match. If you are unfamiliar with the concept of the Shellshock Live series or artillery games in general it is quite simple. Well a new and improved version is out so get to shooting some cannons! "One of my, actually scratch that, my all time favorite multiplayer artillery flash game is back with a new and improved sequel! Shellshock Live 2! You may notice a long time ago I did a review on the original Shellshock Live and it was even old back then. Let that familiar, throbbing soundtrack wash over you as you wipe out your enemies (and your friends) with this fantastic artillery game!" Playing for free simple means you need to gain experience in the game to level up to some pretty amusing and devastating weapons and considering how addicting the gameplay is this won't be a burden. There are micro-transitions within the game, but they are unobtrusive and unnecessary to having a rollicking good time. Players can create their own logins or use the ubiquitous Facebook. Kyle Champ has taken everything that was great about the original ShellShock Live and added more. Live chat allows you to talk trash to your fellow players as you try to annihilate each other across the changing landscape. Fight as a team or create a free-for-all where everyone is the enemy play for points or compete in a deathmatch or have everyone shooting at once as opposed to individually, the choices are endless. It's not just the new and goofier weapons that make ShellShock Live 2 even more fun than its predecessor (personal favorite: the piñata bomb), but the new types of gameplay that have been incorporated. ![]() The tanks are back with more weapons, more landscapes, more modes, and more explodey action. Like its predecessor ShellShock Live, ShellShock Live 2 (ShellShockier?) is a multi-player strategic arcade-style shooter wherein the players command tanks and basically blow the living heck out of each other. Last year a great live turn-based multi-player action game answered the prayers of those few and proud with that dream, and now a sequel has brought back the tanking madness with Kyle Champ's ShellShock Live 2! ![]() However, most of those folks would be lying for the camera, because for many the answer would really be "To be able to drive a tank and blow things up," at least for a certain segment of the population, like those who dream of taking a tank on a rampage through suburban San Diego or points beyond. "If an interviewer with a camera were to stop people on the street and ask them the question "If you could have one wish, what would it be?" the answers would be the usual range from "A million dollars" to "Peace on Earth". ![]() This has just started so please be patient as this will be improved upon. This is created so that users of the Shell Shock Forums can come and chat to each other about the game and other related topics. Welcome to the Shell Shock Live 2 community website.

Online gpx editor12/29/2023 ![]() I look forward to your comments to these methods described and also hear about how you use and map GPX files. Feel free to open and interact with this 3D scene! Notice the improvement in spatial accuracy for the above GPX tracks collected using the same smartphone app over the span of 4 years, as I describe here.Ī 3D scene in ArcGIS Online showing the results of my experiment, with elevations in meters above sea level shown as labels (but remember that some of them are underwater) and symbolized as cylinders. You could symbolize on velocity, time, or if you had collected attributes along those lines or points, water quality, weather, traffic volume, litter, or anything else. On a very simple level, you could compare the GPX file as I showed above to the map of the GPX file, discussing how much more information you can gain from mapping things. Admittedly boring but simple and effective way of teaching spatial thinking. Mapping the output from a GPX file of one of my walks in Redlands, California. I also used GPX files in my points in Salzburg Austria map and in my underwater spatial accuracy test in Hamburg, Germany. Both methods of recording my track were derived from GPX files. Students compare the elevation and the x-y position of my recorded tracks from a GPS unit to a GPS app on my smartphone. I use the above map, which you can interact with in ArcGIS Online, here, in courses and workshops where we discuss accuracy and precision. You could also use the results as part of an ArcGIS Dashboard! You could even create a 3D scene as I did in the example below. When done with either the ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Pro methods, you could create a web mapping application such as an Instant App or a story map from the data. You can also convert from shapefile to GPX, if you'd like, and then you could load that GPX file into an app or into a GPS receiver to follow it. You can also bring the output from your GPX mapping from ArcGIS Online into Pro for advanced analysis. When done, you could publish your resulting layer to ArcGIS Online and share it. ![]() ![]() ![]() At some point in the future, you will also be able to add GPX files into the new map viewer in ArcGIS Online, as well.įor ArcGIS Pro: Use the GPX to Features tool > do your symbology, classification, and analysis in ArcGIS Pro. Here is the GPX to SHP tool: The free version currently only lets you convert 2 files per day. (2) You could also use the online tool in the following link to convert GPX to SHP and > then in your Content zone in ArcGIS Online > add content from the resulting zipped SHP file. To use GPX files in ArcGIS Online: Go to Classic viewer > Add GPX from a file > save layer > Publish as a hosted feature layer and share it with public as well. See the image below featuring one of my Redlands walks on a work trip. Third, GPX files are still wonderfully easy-to-use sets of information to quickly map where you have been, and when symbolized and classified, and overlaid with other data, can help us ask the "whys of where" questions about patterns, relationships, and trends in those locations. As such, they are sometimes the only way you can map that data that you have collected from your fieldwork with students, from your geocaching course, or from your hike or cycle ride. Second, these files are still sometimes the only output from GPS receivers, GPS phone apps, fitness apps, or other mapping tools. Why bother with GPX files today? First, comparing raw GPX files to mapped GPX files is a simple, clear way to explain why mapping adds value. Much has changed over that time: Educators and students now have a myriad of types of files and objects in those files to map-points, lines, polygons, grids, images, and more. I used them extensively in the many geocaching courses that I created in city parks, riparian zones, field lab sites, and elsewhere for years to foster spatial thinking. The actual GPX file contains hundreds more GPS points as latitude-longitude values, each coordinate pair occupying one line in the data file.įifteen years ago, GPX files were one of the few types of files that were mappable. You can see the latitude, longitude, elevation, date and time, and other information at the time I collected this particular information (when I was teaching on the campus of Oklahoma State University). In a text editor, a GPX file looks like this, below. Mapping the output from these files in ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online is straightforward using the methods described in this essay. GPX files, in GPS Exchange Format, are text files in XML format containing geographic information such as waypoints, tracks, and routes, as real-world coordinates.

Edouard manet paintings12/29/2023 ![]() The first is Titian’s Pastoral Concert, exhibited in the Louvre, from which Manet took the idea of contrasting clothed male figures with nude females, one of whom is also bathing. Manet’s inspiration for the composition of The Luncheon on the Grass supposedly came from two sixteenth century Italian paintings. Manet’s inspiration for The Luncheon on the Grass The reason behind the painting’s scandal lies in its historical context and Manet’s treatment of the subject matter, scale and composition. This composition certainly remains puzzling even to twenty first century viewers, as one can’t help but wonder as to the reason behind her nudity, relaxed demeanor, and the two men’s seeming disinterest. ![]() Behind them, the second female bathes herself in a pool of water. The men appear to be in the midst of a discussion from which she is excluded, so she stares out to the viewer. A picnic basket is discarded in the foreground along with one of the female’s clothes, leaving her sitting naked between the two men. The Luncheon on the Grass depicts four figures, two male and two female, lounging in a landscape setting. However, to contemporary eyes it may not be immediately evident what about this painting was so shocking to the audience of 1863. The Luncheon on the Grass was rejected from the 1863 Salon and exhibited instead at the Salon des Refusés where it caused great scandal. The Scandal behind The Luncheon on the Grass Édouard Manet, photographed by Nadar in 1874. Today his work holds an essential place in the history of art as the starting point of Modernism. He was close friends with many of the impressionist painters during his lifetime and although his work was often ridiculed and widely mocked by contemporary critics, he was also supported by other creative minds of his time such as Emile Zola and Charles Baudelaire. Indeed, although Manet considered himself a realist, his radical style and subject matter has seen him classed as both the father of Impressionism and a pioneer of modernism. He was inspired by the works of the realist painter Gustave Courbet in his early works but soon came to reject the conventions of painting leading to masterpieces such as Olympia and The Luncheon on the Grass (both painted in 1863). Manet’s work bridged the gap between Realism and Modernism. During this time he also traveled extensively around Germany, Italy and the Netherlands and was influenced by the work of artists like Frans Hals, Diego Velazquez and Francisco Jose de Goya. From 1850 to 1856 he trained under the academic painter Thomas Couture and complemented his education by copying the Old Masters exhibited at the Louvre. ![]() ![]() He was expected to pursue a respectable career in law but instead followed the encouragement of his uncle and became a painter. Édouard Manet (1832-1883) was a French modernist painter born in Paris to a wealthy family. In this article, Singulart dissects the scandal behind Manet’s masterpiece and its influence on the history of art. Portraying an ordinary scene of everyday life on a scale previously reserved for great historical or mythological compositions, Manet rejected the conventions of classical painting to forge a path toward Modernism. Hailed as the first modern painting, Manet’s The Luncheon on the Grass was as scandalous as it was revolutionary.

Capto putting system12/29/2023 This allows the high handicapper to quickly identify issues, and the lower handicappers can look at tightening up their putting stroke by narrowing any tolerance for off-square or off-path putts. The system reports the metrics in terms of both percentages and actual degrees. Like most analysis tools, the system can be used by elite amateurs and high handicappers. The system will be on display at the PGA Show in Orlando in a few weeks where it’s expected that the new device will be snapped up by teaching professionals and tour players. While Trackman and other have led the field in swing analysis for irons, wedges and woods for a long time, this is one of the first tools to give a detailed analysis of the putting stroke. Details on the golfers level can be entered into the system which then allows results to be displayed in the form of green, amber or red lines highlighting the key improvement areas. Results are displayed as a series of graphics. The 300 frame per second data capture means that the Capto is extremely accurate when it comes to measurements. Details are then displayed in a user-friendly format, covering key details such as face angle, swing path, speed, tempo and muscle tension. The sensor, which doesn’t affect the weight or balance of the putter, captures the equivalent of 300 frames per second and almost instantly breaks down the information. ![]() The system operates by putting a small 3D sensor onto the shaft of the putter and using a computer or phone you can see the results from the sensor. While there are several options for measuring the swing of irons and drivers, and there are several putting systems that capture the reaction of the ball once it’s hit, this is one of the first systems to focus on the swing and the actions of the golfer. Wayne along with Killarney based David Keating travelled to Spain in December to pick up their new systems, which offer a whole new level of detail when it comes to analysing putting. Using a small sensor on the shaft of your putter, the system can instantly capture twenty key parameters of the putting stroke. Wayne, who is based at the Cork Golf Centre in Ballincollig, is one of only two PGA Professionals in Ireland to use the Capto Putting Technology system. This way you can see the relationship between feel and real when making changes to your putting stroke. It may be an old saying but it still holds true – drive for show, putt for dough and Wayne O’Callaghan is hoping to build on that with a brand new putting analysis system. When using the display screen, you can view 2 parameters and receive the data in real time. If you choose to practice without a smart phone handy, or you deliberately leave the phone in the bag, then you can choose to use the convenient display screen. By connecting the EZ to your phone and using the Capto app you can access the full plethora of data points. When you are practicing you have a choice of ways to use the EZ. The Capto EZ app is available on Android and Apple smartphones and requires an additional purchase in the corresponding app store. ![]() Lastly “Session History” will display your shots from the days training to show you if your practice and drills are improving your putting. “Target” will give you a number of smart express aiming targets to help guide your training and develop your aim. The more consistent you are, the higher your score will be. “Score” gives your putts a score based on the average performance and variance. “Value” Gives you the impact statistics of each shot using 8 measurable parameters. Within the app you are presented 4 main areas for your putting improvement. Included with the EZ is the same waterproof, durable case, as the Capto Gen 2, but in a smaller more compact size. Travelling is made easy with the Capto EZ. Simply attached the Capto EZ to the upper shaft and level your putter face using the calibration device included in your practice set. Setting up and preparing for your session is easy. ![]() Using either the screen or the app, you can get immediate feedback from your practice. With 14 measurable statistics, the Capto EZ hones in on the key features of your putts. ![]() Effortlessly improve your putting by unlocking the data behind your stroke.
